Bathroom design ideas
Tiles, vanities, storage and layouts for bathrooms that stay fresh, dry and easy to clean.

Good bathroom design in India has to handle constant water, high humidity and heavy daily use. That means waterproofing first, then tiles, fittings and storage that are easy to clean and won't rust or swell.
These bathroom designs cover small and combined toilet-bathrooms, tile ideas from 3D to Moroccan, vanities and sink cabinets, storage, doors and Vastu. Each idea includes notes on materials that last in a humid city like Kolkata.

Start with waterproofing
Before choosing tiles, make sure the floor and the lower walls are properly waterproofed, with the right slope to the drain. Most bathroom problems, like seepage into the bedroom wall or damp patches downstairs, come from skipped waterproofing. Then choose anti-skid floor tiles, a wall-hung vanity in BWP ply or PVC, and good ventilation.
